This prestigious title, named after Sir Redmond Barry, the founder of the University in 1853, is a great honour that has left me feeling both proud and humbled.
I wish to take this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to all of you who have been supporting me since my arrival at Melbourne. Your encouragement, guidance, and friendship have been invaluable, and I would not have achieved this without you.
I am looking forward to continuing my work in Spanish, Iberian and Latin American Studies and making meaningful contributions to the discipline with your support.
