SRAP participates in Sydney Cruise with La Cámara

Ahoy, fellow SRAP members! I recently had the pleasure of setting sail on an extraordinary event called ‘Cruise with the Europeans,’ organized by various European Chambers of Commerce including La Camara. I embarked on this cruise representing SRAP with the intent of exploring potential collaborations with Spanish firms and researchers.
The event was a melting pot of diverse nationalities and professions. One of the highlights was the series of engaging and friendly conversations I had with managers from Spanish firms operating in Australia. In particular I met with part of the senior management team of Consentino, a very successful Spanish firm. This conversation led to a few meetings in the weeks that followed, and a promising collaboration is currently unfolding between Consentino and the University of New South Wales (UNSW).
This collaboration is a testament to the power of networking and the importance of SRAP having a presence in events like this to foster collaboration with industry. I extend my gratitude to the European Chambers of Commerce for orchestrating this great event and to SRAP for supporting me in attending the event.
