Celebrating Science and Culture: National Science Week in Melbourne
As part of Australia’s National Science Week 2025, Melbourne played host to an exciting event celebrating science, and innovation. Organized by SRAP (Spanish Researchers in Australia-Pacific), and held in collaboration with the Instituto Cervantes, the event brought together researchers, students, and members of the broader community for an evening of engaging talks and interactive discussions.
The event highlighted the contributions of Spanish-speaking researchers in Australia and aimed to make science accessible and enjoyable for everyone. With topics ranging from strategic minerals to breast cancer therapies, attendees were treated to a fascinating glimpse into the work being done by international scientists based in Australia.
Held in the vibrant setting of the Spanish Club-Hogar Español in Melbourne. All attendees enjoyed a free welcome drink, tapas, a Day Pass to access the Spanish Club, and a flamenco show.
Special thanks to Ivan Martinez Botella as SRAP representative in Melbourne for all his work to have this happening!
