Inma Cumbrera Conde, originally from San Fernando (Cadiz, Spain), has been awarded the esteemed WA Cooke, Jane Cooke and Alfred Godfrey Scholarship at the University of Sydney Law School, making her the first Spaniard to receive this distinguished honor. This merit-based scholarship reflects the University of Sydney Law School’s commitment to fostering exceptional global talent. Inma participated in the 2024 Prize Ceremony at the Sydney Law School, which celebrates exceptional students.

Inma Conde brings a unique perspective to her academic pursuits, blending her civil law roots with a robust understanding of common law principles. Alongside her PhD studies, she serves as an Australian Government Lawyer in the Attorney General Department, specializing in general international law matters. Her professional experience enriches her research, which focuses on removing legal barriers in the International Sale of Goods to enhance global trade practices.

Under the guidance of esteemed supervisors Professors Luke Nottage and Chester Brown, Inma Conde’s research aims to contribute significantly to international legal scholarship and practical legal solutions.
