About
Miguel Ortiz del Castillo, received his Ph.D. degree in Advanced Electronic System, Intelligent Systems from the Electronics Department of the University of Alcala in 2019. He served as space electronics engineer for over five years at Airbus Defence and Space. In 2019 Dr. Ortiz joined the University of Melbourne to lead the electronic and software design of the SkyHopper and SpIRIT nanosatellites. His research interests include space electronics, machine learning, new space applications, image and video processing, data filtering and EdgeAI.
