Dr Victor Calo is a Professor of Applied Geology at Curtin University. Prof Calo holds the CSIRO Professorial Chair in Computational Geoscience at Curtin University and is a highly cited researcher who is actively involved in disseminating knowledge: Victor has authored over 150 peer-reviewed publications and two patents. He holds a professional engineering degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Buenos Aires, and a master‘s in Geomechanics and a doctorate in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Stanford University. Professor Calo’s research interests include geomechanics, fluid dynamics, flow in porous media, phase separation, fluid-structure interaction, solid mechanics, and high-performance computing.
