Research Bites/Art Meet Science event in Canberra: More than drawings

SRAP-IEAP-ACT organised a Research Bites/Arts Meet Science the event More than Drawings. Exploring rock art through the lens of human cognition and climate change on the 11th of June 2021.

For this public talk, we had the pleasure to welcome three international speakers, Dr. Inés Domingo Sanz (University of Barcelona), Dr. Ursula Frederick (University of Canberra) and Dr. Jillian Huntley (Griffith University). In an informal discussion moderated by Dr. Sofía C. Samper Carro (Australian National University), the three expert in artistic manifestations shared her knowledge to discuss the meaning behind these manifestations, scientific approaches to the topic and how art can be used as a vehicle to investigate common human interests and expression from prehistoric to contemporary times.

From SRAP-IEAP-ACT, we hope this is just the first example of a great series of interactions among researchers, artists and the general public that we will organise in the future!

The full video of the event will be included here soon.
