I am a PhD candidate at the Center for Astrophysics and Supercomputing (CAS) at Swinburne University in Melbourne. My research focuses on Type Ia supernovae—explosions of white dwarfs in binary systems—and their connection to the properties of their host galaxies. These supernovae are crucial for studying the universe’s expansion because their luminosity can be standardized. Interestingly, their luminosity is correlated with the mass of their host galaxies, but the physics behind this relationship remains a mystery. My work aims to unravel this puzzle, which could help address the Hubble constant (H₀) tension in cosmology.
I am deeply curious about the universe and love sharing that curiosity with others. There is something incredibly rewarding about sparking interest in science, especially in young minds. I believe that making science accessible and exciting can inspire the next generation of explorers.

Mi investigación se centra en las supernovas de tipo Ia, explosiones de enanas blancas en sistemas binarios, y su conexión con las propiedades de las galaxias en las que se encuentran.
