A few days ago, our member Ana Monserrat Martínez (PhD student at UNSW) was interviewed by SBS radio en Español to talk about the Interagency Coordination Group on Antimicrobial Resistance (IACG) report that has been sent to the UN General Secretary. In this report, it is highlighted how critical the situation is in regards with antimicrobial resistance and the lack of new antibiotics.
Ana answers questions like why this is happening now and what can we do as individuals to avoid resistant bacterial species to keep arising.
