About

Raquel García Pacheco is a Post-doctoral researcher TECNIOSPRING+ – MARIE SKLODOWSKA CURIE at LEQUIA group of University of Girona (Spain). She will spend 12 months at UNSW working with Prof. Pierre Le-Clech at the Faculty of Engineering to conduct the first year of Mem 2.0 project (Integration of second hand membranes in water process, 2018-2020). Previously, she worked at IMDEA Water research center (Madrid, Spain) where she developed her PhD within Hydrology and Water Resource Management Program (2011-2017). She has been the technical responsible staff of the European project LIFE-TRANSFOMEM (Transformation of end-of-life reverse osmosis membranes into nanofiltration and ultrafiltration membranes) during 4 years. She was also actively involved within 8 diverse projects at national, regional and international level related to water treatment and activities of dissemination. As a result of her research activity she has reached the following publication: 1 Spanish Patent, 1 Intellectual Registration Protection, 1 Thesis, 6 scientific papers (5 of them are in Q1), 5 book chapters, 6 dissemination papers and 18 congresses (most of them with oral presentation contribution). According to SCOPUS, the scientific papers have been cited 30 times (with 4 h index). Additionally, since 2011 she has been involved as volunteer in humanitarian activities through the Water and Sanitation Emergency Response Unit (ERU WATSAN) of Spanish Red Cross.
